Please welcome our French Intern Cassandra Zuber. Cassandra will be with us for the school year. She is Swiss and joins us from a tiny village lost in the Alps of Valais called Ayer. She is taking a break from studying at the University of Lausanne to be an intern and will return to pursue a Master's degree in English and French. She a middle child, she has an older sister and a younger brother. She is following her mother into a career in teaching and her father is am engineer. Cassandra hasn't caught the Seahawks spirit yet, but she does enjoy hiking and swimming. She also enjoys reading, listening to music and watching movies. Currently her favorite band is Nirvana. This is Cassandra's first time in the US and she is "quite excited about it!" She is planning to visit a lot of places as this might be her only chance. When asked what Cassandra was most excited about, she replied "I am truly excited about the teaching part! More than this being my first time in front of a class, I am quite interested in seeing the differences in teaching between the IS and what I experienced in Switzerland." You can contact Cassandra via email (zuberc@bsd405.org) She is currently staying with the Bailey family. If you are going on a fun adventure in the area, see if Cassandra would like to come along. The French intern program is made possible by the ISPTSA. We provide support for Intern's visa was well as pay a monthly stipend, including bus transportation costs, so that every intern can have a great experience. |
